What does this mean? The figure of a pyramid shows harmony with a topstone where the foundation is laid in heaven. It pictures the church in harmony with its head, our Lord Jesus and the future ages when Israel is in harmony with Assyria and Egypt (figuring the world) who would be His heritage, His people and the work of His hand. “We must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.” (Ephesians 4:15 NRSV) |
