Herod Antipas

FoxThe New Testament and Josephus' Antiquities XVIII constitute the main historical sources for Herod Antipas, who is commonly remembered for his role in the execution of John the Baptist (Matt.14:1‑12). He inherited his father's political cunning, which may have been why Jesus referred to him as "that fox" (Luke 13:32)
