Ascribe Greatness

Ascribe greatness to our God the rock,
His work is perfect and all His ways are just
good and upright is He.

Mission Praise 40

These are the words of Don Moen, singer and songwriter and appear to come from the following verses in the Old Testament.

Deut.32.3-4 (ESV)
For I will proclaim the name of the Lord; ascribe greatness to our God!
The Rock, His work is perfect, for all His ways are justice.
A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is He.

PSALM 125

They that trust in the shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.

2As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so thenLord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

3For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.

4Do good, O Lord, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.

5As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.

The Stone the Builders Rejected

The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. (Psalm 118.22 NASB)

"Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding, who set its measurements? Since you know: Or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?" (Job 38.4-7 NASB)
